I am a fan and always will be but i am not going to live and breathe Husker football any longer or at least until changes are made that show me and the rest of Husker nation that we are trying to make an effort.

My thoughts are as follows.

Keller - consistently had to dump the ball due to the fact that his 1st and 2nd options cant get open. We have supposedly recruited so well with Brooks Holt Henry and Paul to name a few that are tall fast WR. Yet we continue to send swift and Pedersen out on patterns whcih is why we have to dump the ball becasue they cant get open. Which is it, have we recruited talent or not, if we have then its the system that is too damn complicated which is assinine since we keep the talent and speed on the bench.

O-Line. We have heard again about the talent we have recruited. All we heard last year was how good Williams Barrett and Jones were yet why do we continue to put slauson byford hickman and huff out there. again have we recruited talent or not and if so is it too complicated to get the real talent in the game.

WR - see Keller, also another problem is the fact that Purify is in the game for only 25% of all snaps.

RB - Lucky is pretty damn good and is getting a lot done with very very little help.

Defense - IT IS NOT A PERSONNEL ISSUE FOR THE MOST PART. We have speed and talent we have no coaching. what kind of game plan keeps your best player OCTO off the field for a majority of the game?

We look lost confused unsure of what to do. we hit noone cuz we are too damned concerned about where to be. we are lost and look like we dont trust each other or the system.

We may win one more game if we are lucky.

Pedersen needs to make a statement. I am not normally for firing people but Coz and his staff should go and go today, not at the end of the year. We are not NFL fans we are Nebraska Fans and we deserve something here.

We will not win NC every year, we will not win Big 12 every year, but DAMNIT we should never not be competetive in the Big 12 EVER.

3-3-5 basically a prevent, are you phucking kidding me and then no adjustment ever. At what point does he realize that it isnt working.

At what point does the CEO (Cally) or the Chairman (Pedersen) realize it isnt working and do something about this.

I am fed up and want to Puke. I dont necessarily think Cally should go but if he doesnt do anything about Coz then dont let the door hit him on the a$$.

We were not competetive in the least and that is such a JOKE.

Bingo. I'd also like to add that I'm tired of this 'next year will be better', blind Nebraska fan attitude. I know we're the greatest fans in college football, but we NEED to hold our players and coaches accountable for this embarrassment.......and by 'embarrassment', I'm referring to the entire season.

 
I'm not saying that adjustments shouldn't have been made because it was painfully obvious that they should have. However, the 3-3-5 worked extremely well against Mizzou last year. The players have given up it seems to me on this staff. They are going through the motions.

I just don't get how you rush 3 all night long even after the azz kickin had commenced....I am in awe of cosgrove.

 
The 3-3-5 worked last year because of Carriker and Moore. We don't have the personnel this year to run it. Cosgrove should know this. At the very least, he needed to adjust out of it once it was painfully clear that giving Chase Daniel 5-6 seconds on every play was going to kill us.

Seriously, that was one of the most pathetically coached defensive games I've ever seen.

It isn't just Coz and staff that needs to go, Callahan needs to go too. Our offense is not good and very few people associated with the team seem motivated. It's time to clean house while we still have a house.

 
Carriker and Moore were awful because they were recruited by Solich. Suh and co. are great because they were recruited by Cally and co. Believing or even thinking Solich recruits are better is Unhuskerlike. You are not a real fan!

This defense still has some better teams to play so I'm sure you'll see worse games in the near future.

 
As i am sitting here i am starting to agree. I have been a cally fan and supporter but maybe him going is a good thing too.

Unlike our D our offense could be good. Cally however is showing signs of his way or the highway. I have lost a lot of trust simply because i dont feel he plays the best players.

purify should never come out

the young WR should play they can get open with speed and i dont want to hear about their inability to catch the ball. pedersen and nunn and hardy drop every thing thrown to them so what is the F'ing difference. they will just be more open when they drop it and if they should catch it well..................................

The O-line mistakes in practice blah blah blah. when watching film and consistently seeing the guards and center get mauled, who gives a s.h.it about mistakes in practice, play the bigger faster talented guys.

we look like we have lost interest. put youngsters in they want to play

if i am culbert thenarse and some other youngsters watching the debacle i transfer simply because i would think to myself christ our Defense sucks and they still wont play me, i am going somewhere else

they can all go if they want. we have talent in here a new coach might be the answer, they wont have to starty from scratch like Cally did

I think the 3-3-5 was a nice plan to begin the game....especially against a pass happy offense. The problem was, COZ fell in love with his plan and did not adjust. I am not a coach or an expert by any means but why did he not try some 3-4 and disguise some blitzes? We could tell that the front 3 were not getting pressure on the QB, it might have been another way to get to him. The blitzes we did run were obvious and picked up well by Mizzery.

The 3-3-5 did appear to work well last year. But honestly, i do not think it was the scheme at all.

I feel three things helped. The crowd...Lincoln is intimidating. The wind...it was really windy last year.

Chase had his worst day as a QB ever. Those three things caused MU to mis-fire last year.

The scheme, in my humble opinion should be given alot of the credit.

I'm starting to really see that neither Callahan nor Pederson has the character to be able to do this. Their egos are way too big. IF this happens (I say 'if' because I'm not 100% convinced there will be a coaching change at the end of the season) I think it's accurate to say it will have come from someone else.

 
He did try to go to a four-man front and it didn't provide any more pressure, just let Daniels torch us that much quicker.

Scheme was NOT the issue. You could have put them in any scheme imaginable and they probably all would've done worse than the 3-3-5. Personnel is an issue, fundamentals too, but the biggest issue is motivation.. these kids do not believe in this coaching staff and do not have that fire that we have seem from blackshirts for as far as anyone can remember.

Coaches have to be held accountable and that falls on Pederson to make some changes.

 
amen, fire is missing, jumping up and down and screaming cannot be perceived as fire. On D especially we look lost. the coaches need to motivate and then the players need to motivate. IMO the D has clearly lost confidence in our schemes.
