Alex Henery, Nebraska, PK, So, Omaha, Neb.

Alex Henery connected on a game-winning 57-yard field goal with 1:43 to play in Nebraska’s win over Colorado. The 57-yarder topped the previous NU record of 55 yards recorded on three occasions. Henery connected on four field goals for the second time this season, including three in the second half, while also converting all four of his PAT attempts.

There were several worthy candidates who almost were able to share in the largesse of a helmet sticker. Here are the players I thought were most deserving in this week's games.

.............Nebraska kicker Alex Henery -- Produced a school-record 57-yard field goal for the game-winning points of the Cornhuskers' 40-31 triumph over Colorado. Henery drilled four field goals in the game with successful kicks of 35, 27 and 37 yards in addition to his game-winner with 1:43 left in the game.

Very well deserved. Kickers usually aren't noticed much until they are either the hero or the goat of a game. Congratulations Alex!!
