Alex Henry For Heisman?

I prety much see this as a non-issue the Heisman no longer is about the best college football player. Its a popularity contest for quarterbacks and running backs. The hoity, toity members of the New York, Downtown Athletic Club need to promote it as it is and for what it has become.

We are really lucky we have such a good placekicker/punter. Henry is the reason we even scored, kinda sad that we couldn't punch in a td all day from the likes of the 1,2, and 3 yard lines...That being said hats off to henry for stepping up and keeping us in the game to the wire. I wish he would have been givin another chance to hit a fg from 60+out if we could have gotten him in range on that last drive.

Was he put on scholarship?

YES he was put on scholarship, I remember there was an article in the LJS about it when it happened this spring. He deserves it...specially since he WAS the only person to even score for us at VT. :hellloooo

:yeah it is all about the flash, man...you have to have name recognition. Just once I would like to see an offensive lineman win the Heisman...but that will never happen. No matter how good they are, they never get the recognition they deserve, never make the money in the NFL that the backs or QB's make, even though they are the reason for their success. They are the grunts in the turf wars. Expected to do their job, and when they get hurt or old, they are just put out to pasture to live with all the affects of the abuse that they had to take for the team. This Bud is for you Mr. Offensive Lineman...maybe next year you will get that recognition you so deserve.
