Black would suck....besides, there are no Blackshirts until they earn it by playing the way the old Blackshirts did. Just because they start on defense shouldn't automatically qualify them to be a Blackshirt. The way the defense played last year....there were NO Blackshirts on the roster in my mind.

to create a NEW tradition, My favorite husker unis are the ones from 01, but wearing a black jersey once a year or once every other year would be awesome imo.

Its the lack of following traditon that the hate comes from.

We are the Big RED have been for quite awhile. There is never a reason to change our color. Never a reason to show up like Oregon or Miami. True tradition like Michigan and Penn State, Alabama, Texas. We are not new kids on the block that need to try gimmicks to succeed. If we have to motivate the players and the fans with other than The N on the heltmet and our Red jersesy, we have a lot more problems as a fan base than most thought.
