Muskegon Heights, MI -- A woman who feared she would lose her boyfriend while she recuperated from surgery arranged for her 15-year-old daughter to have sex with him, authorities said.

Police said the three signed an agreement specifying the sexual services the girl would perform and the compensation she would receive, including clothing and body piercings. The 37-year-old man and the girl had sex about 20 times over two months, police said.

"It's incredible that any parent would be involved in such a blatant case of abuse against her own daughter," prosecutor Tony Tague told The Muskegon Chronicle for a story published Thursday.

Authorities investigated after the girl talked to another adult, said police Detective Calvin Mahan.

The woman was freed on $25,000 bond after being arraigned on three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The boyfriend, Michael J. Fitzgibbon, was being held without bail. He was arraigned last week on six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

It was unclear Thursday whether Fitzgibbon had an attorney.

It would be a sad life to have no other alternative than that. I think the mother should be caned and the guy castrated. No middle ground here. Also extensive prison terms would be nice. :steam

 
I can top that...

I used to do child abuse and neglect cases early in my career (for obvious reasons, it isn't something you want to do forever).

In one case, there was a 38 year old woman with two daughters - 14 and 12. No father around - pretty understandable once you see the rest of the story.

The mother finally married (or remarried, can't recall). The husband was a 28 year old man. Kind of a simple, no-harm-to-my-fellow-man kind of guy - but he had the IQ of a KSU fan. So not only was he simple in his values, he was simple minded.

The mother had her tubes tied after the youngest daughter was born. But she was adamant that she and her new husband should have a baby that was "theirs" - meaning, from both their gene pools (don't ask me why). Therefore, adoption was out of the question, as was a host mother, etc.

Over the course of half a year the mother kept pestering the oldest daughter to have sex with the husband. The child, of course, was repulsed and refused repeatedly. The mother finally wore the poor kid down - even going so far as to say it was the kid's "duty".

Once the kid agreed, the wife - not having told the husband - sends him off to work and tells him to stop at the bar with his friends after work and throw a few back. The guy does it, and shows up drunk at home that night. The wife meets him at the doorway in a nightgown - after having told the daughter to go to the couple's bedroom, disrobe, and lay in bed. Mom leads husband to the bedroom and starts to get him aroused. Remeber, this guy is pretty soused.

At some point, she "directs" him toward the daughter. Daughter starts crying and refusing. Mom, who has aroused husband to a fever pitch, holds down daughter while husband has sex with her.

Fortunately, it just happened the one time. At the hearing (a civil hearing to determine whether to remove the children and sever the parental ties and put the kids up for adoption), the Judge points to a tree outside and tells the mother that if it was in his power, he'd simply have the baliff drag her out there and hang her by the neck until dead.

Well, needless to say, I won the case. Mom went to jail for a few decades. Daughters are adopted by a nice couple, and after years of therapy seemed to be doing all right.

Husband was never charged - he was actually horrified (as verified by the daughters) when he sobered up and immediately filed for divorce.

This is not the kind of 14-year old of today. This was about 20 years ago - before the advent of the Internet and such. The kid really was a "kid" - innocent and not really understanding sex.

Now, there's a beast that needed to be put down...
