All Star Game -- 2nd half

What did you guys think about the All-Star game? Overall it just seemed kinda dull IMO. Even though there were records set in the derby and the game itself had some good action, it just didnt have much of a "buzz" this year. But then again its been fading over the past several years IMO. Maybe it was just Detroit - although their new park looks pretty nice.

So any predictions for the 2nd half? Cubs gonna make a run? Royals gonna continue their "never-ending quest to save their girlfriend"? <_<

IMO the all-star game is boring, never really been a fan of it. Detroit does have a nice park though. As far as second half predictions go, I think the Orioles will slowly tumble in the east due to their lackluster starting pitching. The Yankees will wind up pulling it together down the stretch and make the playoffs as the wild card nudging the Twinkies(hope you like that one ETR). Lou Pineilla finally implodes. White Sox take the central. Oakland A's surge past Rangers due to poor pitching and Angels due to inconsistent play. Braves find a way down the stretch and the Nationals will falter due to their reliance on winning close games for an entire year because of a crappy offense. Cards continue to run away in the central, Padres take the west and the Nationals, Phillies and Astros will be in a dog fight for the wild card. Royals will play lots of young guys and trade Mike Sweeney.

For cryin' out loud! It's baseball! Look up the word "boring" in the dictionary and beside it is a picture of a baseball game... ;)

 
Agreed...I can't stand wasting 3 hours of my day to watch a baseball game, even if my beloved cubbies are on! But 4 hours of football i would cherish! ;)

 
Oh yeah, the cubbies are just getting settled in after all these injuries. I am sure they will catch fire and win the pennant now! But I havent been to a game in a long time though, that is always a good time if you see a game in person.
