The thing I love most about hind-sight reviews of recruiting classes is that it is all based on performance and not how many stars these players had next to their names. This writer does the top 15 CFB recruiting classes of all time. Most NU fans will probablly agree with #2.

Bama also signed Julio Jones in 2008.It's a good list, but I have to question a couple of those.
For example, the 2002 Texas class was a good class, but other than Vince Young and a few other guys I don't see why this class deserves to be one of the 15 best of all time. Sure, they put on a phenomenal BCS MNC game, but Vince Young was that team. It seems like they judged an entire class off of one recruit.
And then the 2008 Alabama class is the worst choice. The writer is essentially saying it's a great class simply because of Terrence Cody. Most of the other players are still not seeing significant PT more than likely.. I'm not sure when Ingram was recruited, but even if you throw him in there that is two outstanding guys. But, that's it. I don't see any other players or any other accomplishments they have had as a team that tells me "wow, they were one of the top 15 recruiting classes of all time".
