Michigan is getting they high rating so that everyone can justify Ohio State as a title contender if they go unbeaten. They have a very favorable schedule from the looks of it. It just doesn't appear that their conference schedule should be that tough nor the non-conference. Politics.

Anyone who bashes on Michigan is a fool. They had a lot of talent last year- more than NU- and we fought them all 4 quarters in the Alamo bowl. Anything about their team not being any good is nonsense. They had a good team last year that caught some really tough breaks- they lost all of their games by a combined 20 points or something. They were one Chad Henne fumble away from beating Penn State and a few other games. They'll be even better this year because they have the same talent level and now they have more experience. With any luck at all, they'll go 10-3 or better. Probably better. They may even be able to beat Notre Dame at home.

NU returns a lot of our players from last year, plus a few new difference makers like Mo Purify. We will be better this year, no question. CO will have some serious trouble doing anything but kicking off and kicking field goals this year. You've gotta tip your hat to Mason Crosby- he is awesome. It will be nice once he's gone so that Congdon can take his place as best kicker in the Big XII.

Just to clear something up for Aim9, Michigan beat Penn State with that last second touchdown pass to Manningham. Thanks to Carr's insistance that the refs put two seconds back on the clock, leading to Michigan getting one last play with a second left.

A healthy Mike Hart last year could of lead to another win or two for Michigan. They have plenty of talent, that underacheived last year. If Carr would quit being so conservative with his offense, they could make a run at the Big 10 title this year.

:yeah I have to agree... how often you do see a 6'2" and 215lb kicker? He has a huge future in the NFL.

What I don't understand is, if this was the worst Michigan team in 20 years, why are they getting so much hype when they return the same team?!?!
Great point.
Yes, yes it is. There is no answer for that.
actually there is an answer... they're in the Big 10.

"well we quit after the Iowa State game"
funny, before the game they sure yapped their mouths quite a bit for a team that had already quit.
