Hey guys,
We'd like to begin offering our board to some of the Husker Alum/booster groups arond the country, and need the help of those of you with connections to the clubs.
Here is a general overview of what I'd like to offer initially:
-Forum dedicated to Alum/booster group discussion, allowing the groups to post messages for their members, and discuss upcoming events etc.
-Email service to each group's members -- i.e. ability to send emails only to the Colorado'ans for Nebraska etc. announcing an event.
-Facilitate contests etc. for specific groups -- i.e. run weekly score contests, games, polls etc. managed on the board.
Future offerings:
-Re-designed website if needed
-Free or near-free hosting service for their groups Husker site -- rid of those annoying "free-hosting" pop-ups
-Free email accounts for their members i.e. HuskerBilly@COskers.com
We could just contact each group ourselves, but I really think it would be much more effective if "one of their own" made mention of it first and put them in contact with us to discuss further. Even if you aren't currently a member of their group, simply based on the fact that you live in the area, and explaining how the board has benefitted you will really help get the message across.
I think this could really help both the Husker groups as well as the board itself - because remember, more members = more ad revenue, which the board very much needs to continue to grow & offer prizes etc for our members.
