I don't know if some of you remember that I told you about the little Pomeranian puppy that came to us outside. We had found out that some people up the street didn't want him anymore and kicked him out! We spoiled him rotten..petted him..fed and watered him..bathed him..took him to get his hair cut, etc.

Well he died last night right in front of us. I had let him out before bedtime..waited awhile..couldn't figure out what was taking him so long..my husband went to check on him and he was laying down on the patio. He brought him in and he died shortly after. We gave him such a better life that he had from those people who kicked him out! Anyway..thought I would let you know.

Thanks for the replies on the computer question I asked. It will be awhile before I can get one..but..appreciate everyones help and suggestions and will keep them so when I am ready to buy one..can read them. Right now am very upset and only thinking of our dog that died.

That's too bad Roxy.............

At least the little guy went on his own terms rather than you having to put him to sleep. I dread the day I have to do that to my pups.

BRI..that is exactly what my husband said last night too...Louie was old...we gave him a better life than what he had. We have another dog..that we got from the pound a long time ago..she knows something is up..she is a very smart and protective dog. I just wish people would go to the pound if they want to purchase a pet..and save a pet. Yes there are pure breeds out there..but..you have to pay alot to get them and they have a chance to find a good loving home and the pets at the pound..don't have that chance..or a dog or cat that is lose outside. Just wish people would go to the pound first to just check it out before deciding on a pet.

I don't know how many dogs I've rescued off of the street and given to the Animal Rescue League while I'm on-duty. It's sad to see people just throw their pets out like their nothing.

I have a british springer spaniel and I threat him (Buddy) as if he was my son....sad but very true. I couldn't image him dying right infront of me and I don't think that I could put him down and watch that too. He means too much to me to kick him out on the street. I take him bye bye whenever I have the chance and hell he even puts up a fight with my fiance when she heads to bed. When my fiance isn't sleeping at my house my dogs sleeps in her spot but once she stays over it takes about 10 minutes or so to kick Buddy out of my fiances spot

Sorry for your loss, Rox...

Out here, you see a lot of purebreds at the pound, too...And about double the normal number with all the families losing their houses..Some just leaving their pets in the back yard with a kiddie pool full of water and a bag of food...Like they hope to come back for them if they find a place to live that will accommodate pets?

Or hoping someone finds them before the food runs out or the bank forecloses?

I took my Son to the pound a few weeks ago so I could hear him do his sick girlie noise when he sees kittens...and I was touching a nice looking German Sheppard/Husky mix on the nose..Then he/she went berserk trying to tear my Son apart through the gate when he came over to see...

I'd hate to see what he/she'd do in open space.

Sounds like he had quite the life after her met you Roxy, I bet he's grateful for that.

OKC, was there ever any resolution to your situation?
