Former Husker and NFL hopeful Ameer Abdullah is hoping to eventually find his way back to Lincoln to continue his studies, the Nebraska graduate said in a post on USA Today's website Thursday.

Abdullah, who finished his career at No. 2 on Nebraska's all-time rushing chart with 4,588 yards and was a finalist for the Doak Walker award, wrote in a "Draft Diary" entry that he is not "totally done with school" and that he could see himself spending the pro football offseason back at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln — where he already earned a degree in history with a minor in education — to further his studies, possibly in law school.

"I was actually going to take the LSAT last Saturday, but I found out that the combine was the same date. Probably next offseason I'll take the LSAT and try to get into Lincoln or somewhere closer to home where they'll let me take law school classes on my own pace in the offseason. You never know when somebody's going to say, 'That's it for you for football.'"

I hope when he is done with the NFL. We find him on our sidelines. He would make an excellent Grad Asst if he was still wanting/working towards a higher degree.
