And? That isn't unique. Something that big should have a LOT more than that and at least something noone else has. Go check LSU's or Oregon' facilities. Better yet, go look at Georgia's and get back to me.
I'm not saying this just to throw shade. With all the hype I truly expected this facility to be amazing... but it's just not. Georgia absolutely blows this out of the water and I think theirs is 5 years old already. Whoever designed this thing and approved all this should be fired. Either they didn't look around the country and see what they needed to beat or they did and missed. Either way, they failed, hard.

Dude, the Georgia facility looks almost the same as Nebraska minus the color pallet. So it seems like whoever did the bench marking did a good job. There's only so many ways to shove everything into one facility and it seems like we did it right.

A catered restaurant, a full attatched hospital suite, the wall screens are kinda cool, I prefer the aesthetic but that's just personal opinion, they have everything we do just in a more efficient layout and a few years older.
It isn't even that they did it better even though I think they did. It's that we have all this extra space and we had all this time, all that hype and there's nothing new, nothing innovative, nothing even really unique. All we did is have a bigger weight room.

Exactly. It's almost exactly the same. We didn't do anything NEW. We have way more space, spent more time and spent way more money and it's basically the same thing. My point exactly. It's just disappointing. That's all I was saying.

Eh, I think just having one of the better facilities in the country is good enough. To perpetually try to keep up with the Joneses is a really dumb thing we like to do here in America. We were overdue for a new facility and we got a beautiful one.
As long as that building is filled with smart, hardworking people all pushing in the sane direction, and we are developing a culture of winning, I think we will be OK.

I'll lightly defend @Blackshirt83 here. Throughout this whole process I've felt a similar sense of being 'whelmed' by the new complex - it's massive and cool, but it's always struck me as being like, 'okay, yeah' in terms of efficiency and aesthetic, rather than "WOW". It's kind of hard to articulate exactly, and I don't know what differences or additions would change it, but I'm not an architect or interior designer. I just know that I've definitely seen facilities (Oregon, LSU) that made me go "holy s#!t" and ours has mostly made me go "oh, cool". Feels somewhat like a big hotel lobby or conference center with a lot of empty space as opposed to others that feel more like a space ship or a castle or something. Again, I'm talking ergonomics, aesthetics, etc.
Edit: Also to be clear, it's obviously impressive. It's unfathomably huge and cost $150 million there's no way it wouldn't be. There's also an important disclaimer with 1:1 comparisons that the training table and academic support sections etc. serve all the student athletes and not just the football team. Seems like a lot of the massive budget is found in those sorts of operational and logistical strengths than in 'cool' stuff, which is fine I'm not mad about it. But you look at our $150mil project compared to Oregon's $68mil project or Georgia's $80mil project and it seems at best on par in terms of the wow factor stuff.

What kind of negative thinking downer do you have to be to come onto this post applauding what our student athletes are blessed to have??? and just attempt to turn it into a post bashing what the university did to upgrade facilities.
Dont hear any players complaining at all and instead hear them talking about how amazing they are.
