America's Cup back home

Four-Star Recruit
For any sailing fans...

After 15 years, the cup has come home.

BMW Oracle's trimaran defeated the Switzerland Alinghi team in a sweep.

Not the first multi-hull used; Connor's Catamaran won out in 1988.

The boat still reminds me of 'WaterWorld' ...

I had completely missed this! How/why was this not better publicized? Did the Olympics suck all the attention away from this?

I think it's a pretty big deal that we finally won it again. Congratulations!

It is sad that the longest, active international trophy gets very little news.

From my first sailing lesson in 1967, it's something that gets in your blood.

This sums up my feelings on sailing.
