Anchorman 2

Seriously no thread on this yet? The most quotable movie of all time is getting a sequel! I can not wait for this.

Only thing is that sequels NEVER live up to the original. Hangover, Men in Black, Sandlot, etc.
Spider Man 2 has something to say about that.

I'd say they RARELY do so, but it can happen. If I wasn't so lazy I'd come up with another example...

Spiderman was originally planned to be a trilogy. Just like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Batman, etc. Storylines were made well in advance before Spiderman came out.

These movies I mentioned were never PLANNED to be sequels, but after the original had success, they decided to make sequels and they bombed.

The best examples of great sequels generally aren't comedies though. TDK, Star Wars, LOTR, Terminator, Godfather II, Aliens.

I would have a tough time naming that many comedy sequels that are even close to the original. Christmas Vacation is about the best I got.

Just saw your post Po fair enough.

Even though planned trilogies are no less sequels they usually turn out better than unplanned sequels off of unexpected success of an original.

WHAT I kinda like MiBII :)

And most def like Bad Boys II much better than I

kinda got tired of his schtick, but there are a lot of actors that play the same character in a lot of different movies. .02 not a critic just like what I like

luv me some sker football always

I can see this movie bombing so bad. Sometimes what makes a movie great is that there are no sequels. They just left well enough alone.
