And as far as slapstick comedy goes, I can think of Hot Shots part Deux and Naked Gun 2 1/2 right of the top of my head.

I see no reason an Anchorman sequel can't be as good or better than the original. This is precisely what Ferrell and McKay do best. There was gold in that brief skit on Conan. The movie they threw together with left over junk from the first one had some hysterical moments. There's no end to the possibilities!

Rocky II Better than Rocky 1. Prob. best out of all five

The Devil's Rejects Never seen it, or original

Jaws 2 Seen Jaws, not Jaws 2

Major League 2 Original is way better IMO

Even though I think this is accurate, for the most part, there are definitely some notable exceptions. Another poster beat me to it, but The Dark Knight was a fantastic sequel.

I take this back, I thought of two comedies that were the same/better than the original...Austin Powers The Spy... and Goldmember and Ace Ventura When Nature Calls
