Was that his thought process when he was arrested for underage drinking last year?

How many have taken this path? Weinke, and who else? I wouldn't put a lot of hope in this.
I bet 95% of this board drank when they were underage. I'd go out on a limb and say dang near every kid on the Husker football team has. Getting arrested is usually just bad luck. He lived in hick ville where the cops are a bunch of mall-security guards pissed off because they couldn't make it onto the Overland Park police department. If he survived HS without a MIP, he was doing something right.
Chris, I'd bet the ranch you're 100% on the money. You're also 100% correct that most of those brain-dead Barney Fife cops are busting those kids for doing the exact same thing they did at their age too. Having no conscience or ability to reason is a firm requirement for their position.

Lastly, once again I fully agree it's just bad luck.

Lol...."thought process" for underage drinking. When I was that age it was perfectly ok to get your head blown off serving our country in Vietnam but of course it was illegal to have a beer (age 17, 18, 19 or 20). Mr Bumble nailed it about "the law".

He is supposed to report to KC's single A team sometime this month. He needed the instruction because he has not played very much baseball, but ESPN still list him as the 12th best prospect in all of baseball, I just hope he can get somewhere close to his potential. Knowing the Royals luck, he won't get close.

Or they will trade him for some bats and a stack of baseball cards, then the next year he will make the all-star game

If his baseball career does not work out he could always come back to Nebraska. Like what Brandon Weeden did with OSU.

He's actually injured. He has a severely bruised tailbone from one of the seat springs on the bus.
