I also think, even with a loss, that Georgia is a much better team than #21. They'd kick the crap out of half the teams ranked above them, including ND, Miami, BYU and LSU.

Yeah this is always funny to me.
Being the pride of America's "Top Religion" and due to their tough schedule the Irish might be in the National Championship or at worst a BCS game.
Coaches Poll has them 20th - AP has them 18th
Pretty sure the BCS will rank them top ten by the time the first ranking is released.
BCS Automatic Qualification:
Notre Dame will have an automatic berth if it is in the top eight of the final BCS Standings.

i was talking to a friend of mine from Michigan who loves Mizzou and he brought it to my attention that Mizzou was #8 and i didnt believe him till he showed me the link. Though its not an official AP poll.

no problem fuzzy, I just wanted to know who, so I could smack them.
anyway every base has some crazies. This is a true story, last week an OU fan I know told me that OU's backup will be better than Bradford and if Bradford had left to the draft last year, that this kid would pick up without a drop off. He even thought they may be better with the back-up.
Needless to say I have had some fun with him at work today. And he isnt talking so much this morning... :clap

The polls for the first 3 maybe 4 weeks of the season are pointless. They should not have polls until week 4 or week 5 anyway
These rankins make little to no sense to me.
How Notre Dame beats a middle of the road Nevada team and leap frogs us to number 18 is beyond me. I think Miami deserves that spot way more.
BYU to number 9? They did a great job agaisnt OU, but to say they are the ninth best team in the country?
I think most of the rankings are fair, but those two especially the Notre Dame jump cry foul play.

The last time we played someone ranked in the 20-25 range, we lost.....but they also fell out of the polls due mainly to a lack-luster performance.

cant put too much stock in the rankings... its nice to see us with the little number to the left of Nebraska on score highlights, etc. But in the end, its all about Ws.
