@Enhance, I just wanted to clarify an additional point: I do not think of great fllm makers doing great comic book superhero movies as mutually exclusive.  For example, The Avengers was/is a superb. 

However, I also find enjoyment in movies like Suicide Squad (which sometimes I think I'm the only one who really liked it).  I just try not to be overly critical when grading comic book/superhero movies.

 
Lessening your criticism of something is usually a pretty good sign that it's bad, and you know it, hence you give it special treatment in evaluation.

 
@Landlord, no it just means I'm focusing more on the entertainment of it.  Like I said, it is a comic book/superhero movie...not real life.  But hey, you wanna take these movies seriously...go right ahead.
