For the spring game!?

I, for one, cant wait. This season cant start fast enough! I think we're going to be really good. I honestly have a great feeling about this season.

Although....

Bowman injury scares me

All hte I-Backs getting hurt scares me also..

BUT.. THAT ASIDE:

This will be a good season. I can feel it. We're back.

And you base this on what? I pray for us to be a contender in the national picture , but I have a scary feeling that we will run the north but will still not be fully up to par against the south and USC in ooc play.

Talked with a pacemaker rep that is a SC alum and he said USC should be better than last year and run the season #1 to #1. All I could say is we'll know at the end of the season.

GBR

I don't realistically see us winning the National Championship, but I do see us winning the Big XII Championship and our Bowl game with a few losses this next season. I see us finally beating those big name teams right now like Texas, USC, etc. though.

As long as we don't need healthy running backs for our gameplans, we will rawk the house!

(but here's hoping for healthy running backs, anyway)

I think it is going to be a great season with most close games, I can't wait to see what Culbert can to at the Spring Game, he is supposed to get at least 20 carriers

although we should have a "good" season, I sure wouldn't hold my breath for that USC victory and I would be happy to split with Texas, assuming we and they get to the title game.

That topic title had me hearing Korn...

But anyway, I really want to see how the QBs do, Keller in peticular.

The RB situation is troublesome, but at least it is the possition that freshman can adjust to the fastest. And I see Castile, Mendoza, Helu and Amukamara all getting time in games this year.

I have high hopes for this season. When USC comes to town, we will really be able to see how we have progressed, though the road date with Wake the week before scares me a bit. If we look past them, they will beat us.

BCS or bust baby.

Well I really dont think that Helu, Mendoza, Castille and Amuakamura will all be getting time in games this year. I really dont even think Amakamura will be playing running back at NU. Lucky isnt hurt and Glenn will be at full strength by the time fall camp comes around along with Mendoza gaining a better grasp of the offfense and Castille coming in, I think we will be just fine. I think they will give Castille a group of plays and tell him to memorize those. That will give us four capable backs and two good ones in Lucky and Glenn. I also think this is the year where Lucky shows why he was the second rated back coming out of high school. Reports are that he has developed new moves in the second and third levels, allowing him to break longer runs. I think this year Lucky will average 150 total ypg, just my opinion.

i doubt he has developed any "new moves", but he might finally be gaining some downfield vision that he lacked last year. as for Glenn, I count him doubtful at this point, after 5 months and still no improvement with the foot, he may ultimately never be the same. Castille and Mendoza will likely be involved to some degree, Prince, well who knows, but it is possible he may be a role player on offense somewhere, the guy has some talent.
