Armstrong to Participate in Manning Passing Camp

You know that Tommy Armstrong Jr. has worked on occasion with Brett Favre.


He'll get some more teaching from notable quarterbacks in the weeks ahead when he attends the Manning Passing Academy. The Husker senior quarterback announced his plans to participate in the camp via social media on Monday.

"So excited to get a invitation to attend the Manning camp and work with some of the best in the country. Just another blessing from the man above!!! Can't wait to get to work and help all the high-school players develop their games. Also can't wait to learn from some of the best to play the position. #gbr #blessed"

Armstrong isn't the first Husker quarterback to spend some time at the well-known quarterback camp in the offseason. Taylor Martinez also participated in it when he was at Nebraska.

I read a bit earlier, but admit I didn't quite follow to a tee.

Isn't the intention of him attending this camp to be an instructor for HS prospects?

 
Will Tommy start singing the Nationwide jingle when he calls plays in the huddle?

I forgot about the Favre thing until I read this thread. I still think Tommy has skills and Could have a huge year, but last year he looked like the Favre I couldn't stand to watch. Favre was a chucker and the downside of his career was rough.

Yeah, sounds like he'll be helping out, and also getting instruction himself:

Younger kids generally get some help from the college players, who also get help of their own from a variety of teachers, including Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning, who Husker offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf coached in New York in 2014.

So who are these Manning guys? Are they legit when it comes to quarterbacking?

Actually, Archie might have been the better of the three, but it was hard for him to progress through his reads when the defensive end and one linebacker were already in the backfield a half second after the ball was snapped.

Jack Youngblood reportedly once told Archie that he owed his pro bowl appearances to Archie's offensive line.

I agree, Archie may have been the best of the three. Who knows what heights he might have achieved if he hadn't played for a perennial loser. The Ain'ts anyone?
