Well it was a blustery day in Jacksonville, Florida. I was in Section 216 in the heart of the Clemson section sporting my orange seer sucker shorts, and was totally embarrassed by the number of Clemson fans who decided to show up in their pajamas. I had just paid $10 for a beer, and was a little pissed at that, along with being pissed that it was too cold for orange sundresses. Across the way from me was literally a Sea of Red, and I am still impressed at the amount of Huskers who made the trip (mucho props to you guys). As I heard the 'Go Big Red' chant, I thought, and even told the people I was with that Clemson needed a cheer like that. Our "Cadence Count" (from the military days) is great but by the time all of the Clemson fans catch on, it's over (it's not repeated). Yall's band also made ours look like crap, as did Alabama's and most of the other teams we play, kudos to the "Pride of all Nebraska" (Hope I got that right?).
Overall, a great experience. Will be purchasing a Nebraska hat and possibly a shirt soon. Anyone got any advice of a good place to find one???

Hey Killer Cacti....don't be a stranger on this board. We have really enjoyed having you Clemson fans come by and having some fun and intelligent conversation. I am much impressed by the Tigers...and wish you guys the best next year, who knows...maybe we will meet for the NC down the road, wouldn't that be great for both team as well as the fans.
As far as I am concerned you can be our "Sister-Team" back east...great fans!! :horns2

Speaking of, Lil Red kinda freaked me out.
Our band isn't bad, but they're strictly volunteer (not sure if the NU band is or not) and they aren't quite as big and talented as the schools with music majors...

I was obviously sitting next to our band and I wondered how loud our "Go Big Red" chant sounded from your side. I have to say though......when your entire team lined up and marched towards the end zone at the beginning of the game....that was down right cool looking! For what it's worth....You Tiger fans were loud at times. Especially in the first 2 quarters! Props to your fans....they are good people!

Funny that you said your band was rather disappointing Cacti. I was sitting in section 140, which was basically right where your band was pointed at, and I could hear them over our band. Of course they were blasting their music our way, and our band your way, so your band really wasn't that bad (I couldn't hear our band at all where I was sitting).
Overall the Gator Bowl was a good first bowl game that I have been to (being only 18), but I was disappointed in Jacksonville as a town. I was very impressed with the class the Clemson fans showed. I wore a Cornhead, and at first I just got some weird looks, but once the booze started flowing I think I ended up in 10+ pictures of random Clemson fans. Would love to play you guys again!!!
