Ashlee Palmer

first of all we have no idea if the 240 is correct. a lot of coaches lie about that. secondly even if it was he has all year to get in shape, and it shouldn't be that hard. when I played college basketball I would come in every season weighing around 195. by christmas I would be at 170. and I DIDNT WANT to lose weight. he sould be able to shed that easily.

lastly, this kid just made a mistake. he didn't do anything BAD. no beat up girl friend, no assualt charges, no restisting arrest(all things past players have done and it was OK) to me take him asa a walk on, if he gets himself in shape, gets his grades, and earns a postition, give him a scholarship. the guy is very talented, and would start for us this year, and would proably next year if we took him

I would disagree about taking this kid. He had 1 freakin class to take to complete his Associates degree program and he couldn't pass it. His weight has ballooned up to 240? Shows a lack of work ethic on both fronts. If I were left high and dry after not qualifying, the last thing I would do is start pounding down the Carl's Jr. Sure, he made a mistake, but I am sure he is not going to attract many schools with that type of work ethic. He'd last 2 days in training camp. He also pisses me off, because if he wouldn't have ever committed in the first place, NU could have pursued someone that would have stuck with their word and would have loved to come here.

Exactly Dave. He flaked out right signing time. He was all about NU until Willingham talked to him two days before signing day.

He will be washing someones car next week.
