ASU QB Sam Keller to transfer to NU?

This mightve been mentinoed already, but remember that Sam-I-Am is going to be coming to Lincoln with a very ME-1st attitude.  He has no choice - he has 1 objective in mind - be the starter and propel himself into the draft.
So is allowing a guy to have a season of "making the video" for his NFL-draft highlight tape, possibly at the expense of the team actually acceptable to Husker Nation??? I say no.
True, but I'm sure BC and Co. will make very clear to this kid that he has to earn a starting spot.

If Keller trusts BC enough with his professional future to forgo attending a I-AA school and sit out a year, he'll listen to BC talk about the importance of leadership - something BC believes strongly about. I'm sure BC will encourage Keller to watch how Taylor goes about his business.

If he comes here, Keller knows he's got one chance to get it right. I imagine he'll be a model citizen and teammate.
Keller will need no sermon.......he will know to get and keep his head on straight

although many are skeptical, this could be a huge break for us next year, while the other guys develop......

^^^^Exactly, and Callahan knows that. He has won games at a BCS conference level. This is the most proven quarterback that we would have gotten under Callahan. This would be huge.
:yeah

I have about as much faith in ganz as I do in myself... we have both accomplished about the same amount at the D-1 level, and by that I mean watching every game... thats about it.
:yeah

I have faith in Ganz.
I don't. Not in the least.
:yeah

Not until he shows us something.

If Keller wants to come here, awesome. As good as I think Taylor is, Keller may be as good or better. There would be no discernable drop-off at QB next year. Hildebrand, Ganz and Witt will still be there waiting in '08.
If these guys coming in can't wait there turn, then the door is open, go through it.

This would be win-win for us......

If he comes in a does well like he did at ASU before his injury, then we have a proven leader on offense and a solid transition from ZT via Keller onto whomever that will be learning and watching during 07. His presence will raise the QB competition level as well, so if someone beats him out, so be it. Put the best guy under center.

I guess I hope Keller comes to us, or stays at ASU. The other schools he's considering are Oklahoma and Colorado, after all. I'd be horrified if Keller went to one of those schools. Horrified.

So I guess we'd better pray for him to come to Huskerland :)

Things can change in a second flat. We thought next year the Ganz was gonna be the starter. Now it looks like we snagged a great senior to lead our team to another great year while the others develop. AWESOME!!!!!!!
