ASU QB Sam Keller to transfer to NU?

I like how people seem to think that Keller is going to come here and be the same party animal he was there. First of all, has Callahan ever shown that he tolerates such behavior? How many kids have been kicked off for rules violations? I get the impression that it is either Callahan's way or goodbye. He's not going to put up with a kid who is more focused on partying than playing. He got Mckeon goin, and Mckeon parties about as hard as any of them.

If he was a captain last year, it has to show that he had some leadership at leat, and that others looked at him for support. I think Callahan will talk with him about his "partying" and explain that that can't happen here if he wants to be a top player.

I don't really think he was a "party animal." There are some pics of him just smiling with some girls and some pics of him with a drink in his hand. Just about every other college kid in the US has the same type of pics. Especially a nationally recognized QB. I'm also not sure if he was captain last year or this year. I only heard he was a unanimous choice for captain.

Did I miss something in the link? It looks like the exact same story from the exact same author, but with a different picture of Keller...no mention of Lincoln or classes; last line starts, "If he leaves ASU"...

I would've preferred we only heard about this after it was all over and everything was settled. This suspense is killing me.

There was an article in the World Herald on Sunday about McKeon cutting back on his partying ways to concentrate more on football. I haven't seen or heard anyone getting down on him about this.

I saw that in the paper too. I want McKeon to stay in shape, and not get messed up at all at parties. He is an important part of the team.

Partying doesn't necessarily cause you to suck. I'm not defending anyone that wants to go get wasted the night before a game or get so wasted they do something stupid. I know a lot of guys who party like "rock stars" that are still great athletes, some even the stars on their team. Just depends on your genes and mentality as to how it will affect you.

Everything and anything is speculation. But what we do know is that he has talent, has been a starter, and has good stats. We also know that by transfering he wants a second chance.

Come hear and compete, that's all we can ask. Nothing is a given.

Hopefully McKeon will do even better now that he is not partying as much. I am excited to watch him play.
