Another Comment on Mo Purify!!
What the f**k happened to hosted families. I remember in High School in the 80's that one defensive player lived with a hosted family. I went to school with the son of the family. They lived in a nice neighborhood and kept him grounded. I met him once in High School and he was very mellow. I know the NCAA (National College Against Athletics) had banished this program. But host families can help against these problems. It is a good program for all colleges.
I know that they get perks that they should not get. But this situation, it goes to the thoughts of paying players to play sports. Let the players live with host families again. Make rules governing it. Most parents of College players would be excited to know that their son or daughter lived in a great family environment.
I would bet the house when this program was ditched; the number of player incidents with the law increased over the years. Now, does USC's housing with Reggie Bush problem go away, YES. Are they better on field because of that, NO. So what is the problem.
I know it has to be watched by the Universities. No less than what is already done, but now a Host Family can help control the extra activity. They can keep them grounded.
