Atmosphere In Lincoln This Weekend

I don't plan on being in Lincoln this weekend but if any of you go I would love to know what it is like.  I think it will be good, like it usually is, I really do.  But feel free to chime in.

The outcome of the game just became less important because there is a renewed optimism for the program.

Mike's days are numbered(he knows), but in a weird way I think there is now less pressure on the program and the fans.

I think a bunch of people will show up in red loon costumes and wander around. Then they'll make their way to the stadium where they'll cheer when something goes right. After the game they'll all wander around some more, some will go shopping, some will go out to eat and go home , some will party down at the many downtown establishments. That's my guess.

Driving from Minneapolis to go. Bought tickets before season started. Sitting row D on visitor side so will be up close and personal to the product on the field

I hope as the greatest fans in college football we will honor our student athletes and provide them with the support I'm sure they were sold when they committed to becoming huskers.  As for renewed optimism, I don't expect the same fervor that BC's or Pelini's arrival made because I think we're all just a little bit tired of starting over.

It should always be good.  It's a football Saturday in the greatest stadium in America.

This is just going to be win 1 in a line of 10 straight.

Before the Eichorst announcement, I figured Lincoln would be kind of dead and not much enthusiasm. After today, I think people will have renewed energy and interest in the program and will be curious how the team responds.

The atmosphere is going to be the same as it is for every early Husker game:

10% Nitrogen

1% Oxygen

3% Red Balloons

87% Death-like Humidity

I think you're forgetting the freezing sleet games. I remember the air being at least 93% freezing sleet a few times.
