I am approximating 100 people from my Nebraska town of 5,600 are going to the game in Dallas. This represents 1.79% of the population. Carry this forward to the entire state. That puts the Nebraska travel squad at 32,220. Throw in the Texans for Nebraska, and other Midwest alumni… I think it is foreseeable to have over 40,000 Real Big Red fans in attendance. This is obviously unscientific, but I think a somewhat educated guess. I cannot remember an away game where I know of so many people going with the exception of the 1996 Fiesta Bowl.
