That's actually pretty high considering we have eight new faces on a team of 17 girls, and 13 of those are Freshmen or Sophomores.

While not "proven" as a Husker, Pollmiller was the 2011 SEC Freshman Of The Year at Tennessee, having set a school record for assists. I wouldn't classify her as an unknown quantity. Having said that, I think the #10 ranking is more than fair. Personally, I think it ridiculous that rankings even exist before conference seasons begin. They're mostly based on last season as well as reputation.

While I won't argue her previous accomplishments, it's still a new system and new hitters. Things that coaches would consider in their voting as well a challenge for a team.

Talent is there amongst individuals, but let's see how it comes together. A challenge that normally is not rewarded with a top ten ranking
