I kind of don't get this other than it's a trophy possibility for teams that have no chance at the B1G trophy. So, a participation award. I'm probably being too critical.

Nothing more than opportunity for B1G to make money off a willing sponsor.

The challenge is across multiple sports; volleyball only one piece of the challenge.
