B1G Expansion and more Conference Realignment

UNC boards are freaking out. They do not want to move. Why is it that these schools do not want to come to what i believe is greener pastures? Maryland and Rutgers didn't like the news either.
What boards? Every thread is locked or no response. They don't seem to believe it. If you have a link, post it please.

We're carpetbaggers who are going to use our devious big city ways to swindle them out of their cash & steal the virtue of their women folk.

One thing that I've heard from a source I trust a lot is that Kansas and wait for it........Mizzou aren't out of consideration.

They don't want to take Duke. They will if they have to but they would much rather have a big, public, flagship University.
Ha ha. ESPN/SEC would not be happy if another conference swiped one of their members....

I heard something similar--what I heard was that Mizzery is only in the conversation if Kansas gets a golden ticket to the B1G. Mizzery doesn't want to come alone, and they don't count DoNU as a regional partner/moving buddy.

And frankly, I fully expect the SEC to make a full-court press on Mizzery to stay. KC and St. Louis aren't exactly the biggest media markets known to man, but they are decent media markets worth keeping.

I think it depends on what happens with the ACC. If it meant getting UNC I think they SEC would hold the door open for Missouri.

I can't wrap my head around that. Why would any SEC team want to leave the SEC to join the Big Ten? Revenue over there is bigger, it's the King Conference, blah blah blah.

If they ever leave then it will OBVIOUSLY be because they are too scared of playing an SEC powerhouse every week. :sarcasm

Especially after they got left out the first time.

Unless they realized they can't compete there (not that they'd be a lot better here or were much better in the Big XII for that matter).

I think it's the culture. Mizzou does not fit the SEC culture. They would be better off in the B1G but I'd love to see them get there a$$ kicked yearly in the SEC

I'm going to be REALLY disappointed with how the B1G ends up if we get UNC and Virginia, the ACC dissolves, and the Big12 pulls in some (all?) combination of Miami, FSU, GT, Louisville, Clemson, and potentially Notre Dame.

Agree 1000%. We already have the big market schools in Rutgers and UMd so let's get some schools that fans actually want to see play on fall saturdays - FSU, ND, GT to a lesser extent.

Actually the Big Ten pays out the most per University. The Pac-12 is second with the SEC third in payouts.
