BUZZ: He probably doesn't get enough credit because the assumption is that his brother runs the Huskers' defense. But Carl is known best for some complex blitz schemes. Since the start of the 2009 season, just 12 of the Huskers' 28 foes have scored at least 17 points.

Nice to see that Rivals grudgingly included Carl this year.

 
I wonder how much it hurts Carl's ranking as a top defensive coordinator that he is in Bo's shadow.
If Carl turned our D around after 2007 like he did under a different HC, well, I'd say there's no way he'd be outside the top 10 DCs on this list. As it is, it's impossible to judge how much credit to give Carl/Bo for the Blackshirts performance.
