I don't know if there is some big conspiracy to this and it's probably just to save face, but the B1G is going to an awful lot of trouble to keep their original decision process from becoming public.

Makes you wonder: what are the chances that their new wonderboy QB will suddenly test negative on Monday or so and Alvarez will say - "Cardiologist clearance to play? We don't need no stinking cardiologist clearance! Wonderboy plays against Purdue!"

If they pull that off after canceling against Nebraska, the national media will eat them alive.
