B1G Players Speak Out on Player Safety

Ensure safety? Probably worth just cutting to the chase; the conference really can't ensure it.

I believe if we don't start the conversation there it's a mistake.

Given that the NCAA and conference leadership have not asked for our input, we feel compelled to call for clarity, commitment, and action regarding our common-sense proposal below.

Was this drafted before the meeting with the conference commissioner on Monday night?

We are deeply disappointed with the lack of leadership demonstrated by the NCAA with respect to player safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You might as well just shorten that to "We are deeply disappointed with the lack of leadership demonstrated by the NCAA."

this appears to being unresolved, as time is quickly running out. i am afraid the s#!t is destined to hit the fan.

I think the first two are already in place.

I think the third point would have to be taken up with the NCAA.

The fourth point is a pretty interesting request but I think it could be reasonable to make some accomodations.

the end result will still be guys missing games, even if we put the team in a bubble, which  MLB has shown doesn't work very well either.

This seems pretty legit.  But the practicality of it happening right now with revenue uncertainty is questionable.

Not sure this is even possible right now.
It's not but, for the kind of money that's at stake, my bet is it will be developed.  College football players may end up being the safest students on the planet if they pull this off.  Kudos to those behind the requests.
