We were there that evening. The rain poured down... lightening began, and they did not announce evacuating the stadium for quite some time. The Akron players and staff were laughing. Scott Frost and crew wanted the game to go on. We happily got soaked and it was warm so okay. A guy in front of us a few rows took off his shirt and tried to wring it out. The "fire burns hotter at Nebraska" or some such was still electrically streaming across the open tunnel and gate. I honestly did have a feeling about this whole thing being a possible portent of things to come (although the word "omen" did not come to mind).
