I'd shoot for Aranda, and if not him, Wilcox can be taken from Wiscy. They dont pay anybody worth a crap. Good ole tight a$$ Alvarez.

 
Three things I wanted done this off-season:

1. Fire our Special Teams Coach (Completed)

2. Fire our Defensive Coordinator (Completed)

3. Hire a big time Defensive Coordinator or take a chance on Bray at DC (To be seen)

I can't believe he made this move, this shows you that Riley is serious about this being his last stop and he's all in at Nebraska. If Langsdorf doesn't pick it up next season with the QB at the helm he needs to run his offense he can go too..............

There is no reason to take anyone else's 'co-anything' at the college level anyway. We are not looking to replace mediocre - we are looking to hire the new splash big time Def coordinator who will succeed Riley when he retires in three or four years after consecutive national titles, etc. So we have to be forward thinking here. We don't hire some up and coming assistant out there who is building a resume' to go somewhere else. We are hiring our future HC now on a temp basis in the Def coordinator or whatever other 'title' we give him.

SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH! The best coach we can possibly hire and that list would include all but two or three in the world really. We have the money! Time to spend! Let's Make Nebraska Great AGain!

 
Brain Vangorder. ( notre damn old D coordinator ) Kirby Smart and Georgia called him to be a consultant for the rest of the season..
