Baseball America projects Huskers as a regional team, previews B1G

I lurk Huskerboard and rarely post, but I had to share some good news. I have seen this team do some great things under Erstad, and I am forever hopeful.

I think we go to a regional this year if (1) Kubat stays healthy, and (2) we find 3-4 strong bats to fill the void in our lineup.

Problem is, Kubat isn't healthy. He has an arm issue and didn't make the trip to Arizona this weekend. Erstad was really vague about it, and he didn't say anything about elbow, shoulder or use the word "surgery," so here's hoping it's just some minor glitch and he gets healthy and contributes. Losing your Friday starter just before the season begins sucks.

 
Was watching the huskers last night. Did I see that correct, are they predicting us to win the Big 10 in baseball. If so earstad wasted no time in getting this going in the right direction.

 
As far as I know, Nebraska's picked to finish second. Getting to the NCAA tournament is the goal, though, and that's easily attainable with a solid second place finish behind Indiana, if that's how it plays out.

Indiana is the unanimous favorite. They brought back a ton of players from their CWS run last year.
