Batman vs Superman thread

So as a fan of Batman I was hesitate about Ben Affleck playing daredevil but after seeing these two trailers I'm starting to get pumped up for this movie. I'm super stoked that Affleck is going to write and direct the next Batman movie.

Extremely excited for this. I was one who loved Man of Steel, for the most part - I think Zac Snyder has his problems, but I loved the tone and approach to the Superman story, and going forward I never really understood the trepidation towards Affleck. People that are skeptical seem to discount his absolutely killer body of work the last 4-5 years, and the new trailer sealed my confidence that he'll do a great job with this.

The plot of the story still seems pretty goofy, and mostly chalked up to, "THIS IS ALL JUST A BIG MISUNDERSTANDING", but I'm excited nonetheless.

I'm not sure if this movie will be as good as Man of Steel or any of the prior Batman trilogy, but I'll still watch it. The storyline is intriguing and it's a superhero movie, two things I can't pass up. But I've been hearing a lot of skepticism about this movie from multiple people.

What I find exciting is that this is the set-up to a Justice League movie. DC seems to be taking (albeit less impressive) attempt to emulate the Marvel model in creating the Avengers movies - each member gets an individual introductory movie to establish the character, then bring them all together. And now there's the new Green Lantern movie with Chris Pine rumored to be under consideration for the lead. Title is Green Lantern Corp.

A lot in that trailer that I like, I'm up in the air with and I don't like.............but I'm still going to go see this in the theaters.

Ahhhh, so now we know who wins (I guess 'Dawn of Justice' was a giveaway?). And maybe we'll get a whole lot more of these.

I feel like I know the entire plot of the movie now.

That Lex Luthor makes me cringe every time. Maybe it'll end up working but it's been pretty cringey in the trailers.

The action (disaster porn) sequences remind me too much of Man of Steel to have high expectations for this movie.

That's what I hate about movie trailers, they give away the entire plot of the movie in 2:00 minutes. After seeing some of the more recent trailers I feel like I don't even need to see the film. Batman/Superman start off as enemies and fight, later become allies against a greater evil. #DidWeJustBecomeBestFriends

Star Wars has done a better job, at least to what I've seen. I haven't spent a lot of time looking into the plot of the movie, but the trailers don't give a lot away.

I've been somewhat hesitant to say this movie looks absolutely awful, but man, this movie looks absolutely awful.
