Baylor vs Nebraska

Radio for me, too. But it's not so bad. The commentators, I like them a lot. Jim Rose, I think? The whole radio program is nice. It's football all day long!
Dude did you just say you like Jim Rose? If so you just doubled his fan base.
Personally, I like his voice. Great football voice. Now if only he could say things that acctualy apply to the game I'm listening too...

Nebraska vs Baylor will be a 6pm kickoff. Just checked Baylors schedule and they have the game at 6pm. Called their ticket office to confirm and they did. With a 6pm kickoff, if FSN doesn't pick up the Nebraska game, then it will be PPV. TBS has already picked up the Kansas/Oklahoma game for it's 6pm slot.

Is that confirmed...PPV for Baylor??
No, but i am hoping it does. We beat Texas Tech and are 5-0 on the season, that would be a hot premium PPV ticket specially after Baylor taking A&M to overtime

I'm thinkin you're right Nameless...the screws that tighten PPV will KNOW they've got $$$ coming if NU is 5-0 leading into this game, so it would make sense...

But we've gotta get to 5-0 first...much easier said than done ;)

You might as well merge this topic with the PPV thread Mods
Nah let's leave it here. I want the top pinned part for bars and other watch site groups to promote their establishments to help other Husker fans out. We all know the game is on PPV.

Pay-Per-View for Nebraska vs Baylor

By NU Media Relations

University of Nebraska

Date: Oct 12, 2005

The Nebraska-Baylor football game this Saturday evening will be telecast via pay-per-view on participating cable systems and nationwide to satellite dish customers. Big 12 Special Order Sports, Fox Sports Net’s pay-per-view division, will produce and distribute the telecast.

The suggested retail price for the 6 p.m. CDT kickoff from Waco, Texas is $29.95. Full information about how to purchase the telecast, including a complete list of participating cable systems and satellite providers, will be announced as soon as it becomes available. (see below for Time Warner and Cox)

Participating cable and satellite providers will offer the telecast to their customers on a specially designated pay-per-view channel. The telecast will not pre-empt FSN’s regularly scheduled programming.

The game is being televised on pay-per-view because it was not selected for over-the-air broadcast or cable television coverage. Under Conference TV rules, games not picked up for regular television distribution can only be televised live on pay-per-view.

“Nebraska fans have been very supportive of our previous pay-per-view ventures, and we expect they will be again this weekend,” Nebraska Athletic Director Steve Pederson said. “It is particularly exciting to offer our fans an opportunity to watch a road game that they would not otherwise have the chance to attend or see on television. We appreciate FSN and Baylor University working through all the details of this joint venture so that our great fans in Nebraska and Texas will have a chance to see the game.”

Dan McLaughlin, who calls St. Louis Cardinals baseball plus hockey, basketball and football for FSN Midwest, will handle the play-by-play alongside former New York Giants linebacker Gary Reasons, analyst for FSN national Big 12 football telecasts. Veteran Big 12 announcer Greg Sharpe reports from the sidelines.

The Baylor-Nebraska telecast will be the sixth Nebraska football game distributed on pay-per-view, following: Oct. 12, 2002 vs. Missouri; Oct. 25, 2003 vs. Iowa State; Sept. 4, 2004 vs. Western Illinois; Oct. 2, 2004 vs. Kansas; and Sept. 3, 2005 vs. Maine. Nebraska won all five of those games.

In addition, the Nebraska-Baylor game will be replayed on FSN Midwest on tape-delay on Monday, Oct. 17 at Noon CDT.

Further details will be posted on BaylorBears.com and FOXSports.com on MSN (search: Midwest), as they become available.
