Lincoln – The University of Nebraska and Texas Athletic Departments, along with ESPN, have announced that the start time of Friday night’s baseball opener between Nebraska and Texas from Hawks Field at Haymarket Park has been moved to 6 p.m. (CDT).

The game between the fourth-ranked Huskers and top-ranked Texas, which was originally set for a 6:30 p.m. start on ESPNU, will now be carried live nationally on ESPN2.

[SIZE=14pt]In addition to Friday’s national telecast, both Saturday and Sunday’s games will be carried live on ESPN with first pitches set for 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively. [/SIZE]

This is huge for recruiting and the city of Lincoln, You know there going to show that camera shot out in dead center of the Mecca.

 
Yeah baby, good stuff. Only saw 14-16 but it appeared to be a well pitched game on both sides. Saw we had 2 errors so good to see we can overcome some mistakes. Lets work on #2 tomorrow!!

Hopefully, the Skers wore out the Horns pen, and can really do some damage the next 2 games.

There was one point in the game where NU retired like 20 straight batters, I think maybe only one runner got to third base in the extra frames.

 
I watched the end of that game at the bar last night. It had to kill Texas to lose like that! That would suck!
