BCS and Computer Love

Thanks to another solid performance by Texas...Choke, A Washington and K-State loss is not going to get us any love from the BCS computers.

 
Yeah, but a K State loss means an Okie State win. We beat both, so I don't see that game hurting our stock. The Washington result hurts. Texas just blows. If it's possible, I think they emphasized the UT-NU game more than we did. That game is looking more and more like an aberration every week.

 
The wins or losses of teams that you blowout don't really make any difference (Washington and K-State), at least not a whole lot. The Okie State game will continue to help us out quite a bit, as will this Missouri game if they stay ranked and keep chugging along.

Wrong, the computers aren't allowed to take margin of victory into account, so it does make a difference. For anyone dreaming that we're going to pass 1 loss ACC and Big 10 schools and unbeaten Boise and Utah/TCU, we need every percentage point we can get. I don't think we'll get there anyway so I'm not upset about it, but those losses do have an impact.

Well, being in the top ten in the coaches wont hurt. Harris has us 11. I cant believe (actually I can, sadly) we're still behind Oklahoma after we handled a common opponent to whom they lost. Typical crap.
