Actually he said that before the 2003 season and he ended up with 1 that year. Make em say uhhhhhh, Benard!

He actually said it both years, and totaled 5 sacks through two years, which is no where near the sack record for one year. What a dorn that guy was.

Is it Trev ALberts with 15 or 16?? Wistrom has the most?

 
Trev has the record. Benard wore #5 because he said that's how many fingers the QB was going to get upside the head. I believe he could be a pretty good DL. He did alright when he played there on passing downs. He just wasn't quick enough to play DE.IMO

 
IMO, the most he ever did at Nebraska was give me a laugh when they showed his picture during the starting line ups. He had like 4 different colors of teeth and ponytailed dredlocks!

i like seeing enthusiasm for one of our guys.... but little do they know. <_<

Benard seems like a good guy but if you're that close to living in your car then exactly what were you doing when you were in COLLEGE?

IMO one of two things will happen with Crunk J. He will re-enact what he did at NU: great practices, great one-liner trash talking, then a disapearing act in actual games.

OR he will be another Sandro DeAngelis. terrible at NU but somehow great at the "next" level.

I would anticipate the former but then i'm reminded of DeAngelis and so you'd have to think anything of that nature is possible.

I consider the CFL a step down from college football personally. The field goal posts are probably twice as wide or something stupid like that. That seems like the only way they could get Sandro to make a field goal in my opinion.

Living in his car my left ear. What a clown. You pretty much hit the nail GJ, but dont think for a minute his statements of "deprivation and woe is me" are anything other than that same BS he used to spew which was all lip service. Hell there are millions of jobs available in construction, food service etc. that prevent millions of others from living in their cars, so why is he so much better than that? I say good riddance to the overhyped bozo. Barnyard Thomas, coming to an arena league near you. Maybe the Barnstormers have a spot for him? :blink:
