Besides Missouris TEs what positions do....

I really don't think they beat us at any other position.................. <_<

They are claiming that they beat us out at QB (we shall see) , RB(Tony Temple is god) and WR. I do think they have a good kicker. It's all on Tigerboard. Great for a laugh.

I am not sure that they are any better at any other position than TE...but the TE aren't even close.....in fact, their TE's could rival a few of our WR........ QB is yet to be determined....... Chase Daniels is pretty stinkin good, and as much hype as Keller is getting, he has yet to take a "live" snap in over a year..... RB... Temple is pretty good, and who knows how Lucky/Glenn will hold up (not too well in the past)......

I think NU has an advantage as far as total athletes at most "positions", but don't use this as a predictor...

Guys, I will catch a lot of crap for this.....and I have stated before that I am an alumn, season ticket holder, house decorated in NU (tons of $$), travel around the country to watch every season, ......NO BIGGER NU FAN THAN I.......but, this game concerns me very, very much....

A lot of people on this board aren't giving MU respect at all..... they are a good team.....and yes, they have beat us at Columbia with lesser teams....the fact that MU has a bye week to rest, recover, and game plan for NU is a tremendous advantage....... This is a game that I think that NU will struggle to win...... I am hoping to be wrong, and even with a loss, the "Pinkel factor" will catch up to them, and they will lose one that they shouldn't and we will still win the North..... I just don't agree with everyone saying MU won't be a threat....

I really need to see some receipts befor I can vouch for your Husker Fan stature, but I do agree that 2 weeks off, home field, Chase Daniels, and phenominal TE's spell a tough but doable win for NU. Luckily coach Pinkeye will help us out.

Absolutely, Pinkel is worth 7 points in NU's favor...... I think that he is an idiot....but he will eventually get that big win, and I hope it isn't this year...

This game is 100 % "do-able".....but anyone who doesn't think that it will take a tremendous effort or won't be a hell of a battle is completely wearing "Big Red Blinders"....... Confidence and optimism are fantastic and necessary for Champions.....but at some point a few of the "posters" need to realize that this is not the NU of the '90's...... As much as I and everyone else hates the facts, yes, NU can be beat by KU, KSU, ISU, and MU......(makes me shiver)....

Respect opponent's abilities...... MU is a true contender for the North....

Right now I'd give them a slight edge at QB, Daniel is good but not as good as many Mizzouri fans think he is. He had great numbers, but when he played agianst teams with a pulse his QB rating dropped to around 55% and he became very prone to inteceptions. Keller is unproven at NU but has a solid track record with an inferior surrounding cast and an NFL caliber arm.

I'd put Temple and Lucky at about the same level right now, I'd put Glenn far above anyone they have at their second option but the health concerns for our backs make it a wash.

WR isn't close IMO, Franklin is a good option but I'd put him around the same level as Terrence Nunn, MAYBE Nate Swift. They have four or five guys that make good third options but no true #2 reciever. NU has one, if not two players that are better than Franklin and our #2-#5 are all better than what they bring to the table.

OL - I'd take their center and match him up with Byford, but I'll take the rest of the NU line over the guys MU lines up every time.

Our secondary matches up fairly even with theirs, and if Bowman is healthy they don't come close to our depth.

Linebackers aren't even close, NU has four guys that would start four Mizzou, MU has one or two that could rotate in at NU.

D-Line, Suh dominates anyone else they have, Turner would start for them as well but the other two spots are pretty even at this point. So slight edge for NU but not a massive one at this time - but that edge will grow over the course of the year.

Special teams is the only spot besides TE where they may have a leg up, their FG kicker is more experianced than ours and he's pretty good as well. The punting situation is about even and we may have a slightly better return game than they do, especially if they younger guys step up big.

Coaching is IMO the biggest difference. Callahan is a master tactitian, but he does have his flaws and has a hard time making adjustments... however Pinkel isn't nearly as good an X's and O's guy as Callahan and also has some pretty big flaws of his own, mainly the fact that he doesn't know how to close out games and has a tendency to overanalyze and blow games.

Right now we have more talent, but the teams aren't THAT far apart, other than the fact that we are MUCH more balanced than they are and have better depth at several key positions. However by the end of the year the talent, along with the massive advantage we carry in young potential should make the gap significantly greater than it appears right now.

right now my 2 greatest concerns are how the defense holds up (especially the secondary) and how much improvement we see in the 2nd half play calling.

Don't get me wrong I think the Missery game is going to be a tough one as well, but having said that they are showing us absolutely no respect so I shall return that favor and say that our Huskers are going to make their stadium Memorial stadium south!!!!! :bonez :bonez :bonez

I really liked what Cos did with Culbert last year as a spy, hope it works again!

I hear they have the best water boy in the nation. Fills a cup in 4.33 seconds.
Bull... that has to be recorded by hand. Probably at least a 4.5 electronically timed.
