My Uncle's restaurant at home is pretty damn good, but he doesn't really offer anything really hot because a lot of the elderly customers don't like that stuff.
I do , but for everyone else I would go with Skeeter Barnes like Rob said. There were a couple of guys out of kearney at the Bike show in Hastings this spring that had some real good que. I'll be damned if I can remember their name though. Something about camping out in the beer tent
Huskers dont know BBQ. Chains should never be put into the mix , and yes , my mommas BBQ is better than the mentioned chain. She has a tat from her days as a hells angel of Porky big on her left butt cheek , which is obviously a salute to her BBQ abilities. BTW , this is an attempt at humor. My mother is not a biker chick , and does not have a tattoo of porky pig.
Smoke Pit (About 25th & Dodge) is pretty good. Uncle Ernies (by Plattsmouth) is pretty good too. Of course I make some pretty good pork ribs and beef brisket. Not sure if its because it's that good....or because 2 hours of slow BBQing lets you drink about 8 beers.
I am not a big fan of Skeeter Barnes. I have eaten at a few good places in Southwest Omaha that were pretty good a couple of years ago. Hell I can remember the names though.
