Heisman Trophy Winner
I can't help but think with all the "best fans" posts after last week, and all the slamming on here now with the OSU loss this week, that this is true. I'm upset we lost, question what happened, but it's over. We still control our destiny by winning out, so have faith the coaches and players figure it out. There were several things went wrong with this game, and you practice hard and work 'em out. It's not lost yet, but one more loss and it will be. One game at a time, that's all you can do.
Don't give up on 'em yet. They need our support more than ever, and I still have hope.
Let's not start being "fair-weather" fans..........
I agree with both of these!!!!!! :thumbs :thumbs :thumbsEvery single team goes through letdowns during the season. One of the biggest struggles in football is coming out and playing with the required intensity and focus week after week. At some point, you're going to have a week or two where you just don't play a good game.
When you have an established system with the right recruits and all that, you can play a poor game against a decent team and usually pull out a win. That's what the best teams in the country do. For us, we're just not there yet, and it's ridiculous to expect us to be at this time. We have to accept that we don't have the ability to put it fully together each and every single game yet. When we have a decent opponent and have a big letdown for a game, we've got a good chance of losing, especially on the road. That's all part of rebuilding.
We're still far ahead of where we were last year.
