Best Husker basement/rec room - New contest we want to roll out.

Here is the contest, please tell us if this is stupid or a good idea. Please give us some suggestions to make this better. If it sucks, that's fine too. I'd rather here it now before we go any further.

Attention Huskerboard members!! We're having our first annul greatest Husker room/basement contest. Your goal is to create the most interesting video displaying your Husker room/basement.

 

The video is open to your intrepretation. For example, some people will just take pictures, some people will take video or combine both, some people will have music and other won't. Everything is open. Winner will be chosen by Huskerboard members on Thursday night, October 8, 2009 @ 6pm.

 

Videos must be posted to Youtube and then link to Huskerboard and posted in the Contest thread.

 

Rules and Regulations:

 

1. If you include music, please don't use commercially available songs as it will cause it to be pulled.

 

2. The opening and closing needs a HuskerBoard.com/HuskerNation.com logo.

 

3. Be sure that the meta data includes every reference possible for Huskers - Huskers, Nebraska, Cornhuskers, Blackshirts, etc.

 

Winner will be granted a $100 gift certificate to Huskernation.com.

 
I like the idea. Unfortunately, I won't be able to particpate because of my current housing situation. However, in a couple of years when I buy my very first house I will definitely have a dedicated Husker room.

awesome idea! Can I film/photograph a working diorama, showing what I WOULD do if I could? :) No? Ok, I'll just sit back and watch everyone else's greatness at work.

 
I love this idea! I'm working on a "husker lounge" in my garage. I added a 3rd stall onto the original 2 car garage and made it my husker pool table room and it's been a work in progress for a while. id love to take a video of it and get suggestions or ideas i havent thought of plus see what people think. plus it would be cool to see everyone else's rooms. When we starting?

This is why I posted this first. I can't see why we couldn't do this. Let's have others other their insight and come to a conclusion. Thanks for the idea.

 
I'm thinking of modifying this contest because of the above statement. It might be too much to ask. I know I couldn't get this done.

How about a contest where someone takes a picture of their favorite piece of memorabilia and tells the story behind it. I think I saw some other site or magazine or something do this.

 
I still like the core idea. Would it be possible to start a topic, and have the ones who want to enter post the pictures? Make each post a poll and who ever gets the most votes win. I am curious to see what some people have out there.
