Best Mexican?

I've heard Azteca (near I-80 and Highway 50) is pretty good, never been there myself though. My favorite is actually a run down place called Netties in Bellevue. I don't think they take credit cards, but I like their food. Fernando's on 114th and Dodge isn't to bad either.

Nettie's great food inexpensive for the portions (hole in the wall)

Romeo's - multiple locations in omaha and bellevue

LaMesa

Maria's in ralston

South 24th st has alot of mexican places but dont know anything about them

and last but not least taco bell/taco john's :lol:

I don't like Romeo's, Julio's, and the worst of all for me is Senior Matias. The few times I've been there it's been terrible service and the food wasn't that good.

 
There used to be a Mexican resteraunt called La Fonda on Center St near Office Depot. Now this has been a few years ago, so I don't know if it is still there. I remember it being pretty good at the time.

It's still there. Tucked in near the dollar store that used to be KMart.

They come to work occasionally for lunch. Their food was OK, but I don't know if it's any indication of what you'd get at a restaurant. I know DJR has been there, I'll let him tell you about it. haha :)

These are your authentic Mex Mex restaurants. Eldorado -- 5134 S. 24th St. -- is excellent. So is El Rancho -- 2030 Martha St. And ditto to El Alamo -- 4917 S. 24th St. These are real good examples of the real thing in Omaha.

For BAJA style, Hector's -- 3007 S. 83rd St. and 1201 S. 157th St. -- is very good. The one out furher west has more sauces, and they can make fresh gaucamoli(sp?) right in front of you.

For Tex Mex, Roja Mexican Grill & Margarita Bar -- 17010 Wright Plz. -- is decent. It has a fun atmosphere and has entertainment.
