I don't see how this improves things in the Big 12. The LHN is still up and Texas isn't sharing, which seems to be the biggest problem.

True. However, they're seemingly replacing him with another member of the good ol' boy club in Chuck Neinas. From what I understand he's big time buddies with Deloss anyway. Who knows.

Good thing NU doesn't have to deal with it anymore!

 
Like it or not, the new Commish has to be able to communicate with Texas.

At the same time, the other schools have to be confident he won't sell them out

to benefit the Horns.

Oz had seen enough of Texas and knew where they were headed.......from where he was sitting, leaving was a no brainer.

 
If the other 8 schools, led by OU, agree to regulate third tier media than Texas doesn't really have a whole lot of choice. No other conference is going to allow the LHN, it has kept Texas out of multiple conferences (twice out of the Pac-12), so they have no where to go.
