It is apparent that last season's success was primarily due to the performance of the overall defense and of the special teams. Most of the improvement needed may be with the offensive line, although the bowl game was a bright spot in that area.

The poor offensive #s are not only the result of the efficiency of the offensive line & QB, but also the blocking by TEs, RBs, WRs and the open routes run by the receivers and backs.

What do you gals/guys think?

I think those numbers tell the tale. We have a pretty stout defense and the offense didn't produce well, especially early.

the way Zac Taylor came on in the latter half of the season i expect those poor offensive statistics to improve in 2006.
And they will. We went out on a couple of high notes and have landed some good recruits in areas we needed improvement.

I look forward to seeing what the Huskers can do against USC. That game alone may be the tell-tape of our season. :thumbs
