Better Chance of National Title

I think the better chance is next year. But I think we could win it this year. The breaks would have to go the certain way, but this team is talented on both sides of the ball. If the db's can play good enough, this team could go all the way.

I really hate to say this, but we are about 5 years away from a national title. 

You dont have to feel bad about saying that bro. It's not "popular" to say that, but hey it is a reality. We really dont know what to expect. I'm excited about our potential and the talent on the team. But Callahan is 13-10 in two years and that is always in the back of my mind. And I may be alone in that. Gotta see how this season unfolds one game at a time.

Plus some key games against Ohio State and Oklahoma.

The big thing about those games for them though is that they are either at home or a nuetral site. The game in Lincoln will be their qb's first game in an atmosphere of 80,000 fans rooting against him. I think that gives us a better chance.

In reality we have a chance every year. We had chances with the past staff.

But unfortunately we have to play those damned games. Just in case some have forgotten we play several teams that think they are winning the National championship and have a more realistic chance..

There has never been a year where I felt we had the championship won hands down. Never will be. Any team can win on any given Saturday.

Let's worry about beating LaTech first. Quit putting the cart infront of the horse so to speak.

Just be happy we have a good team that should win some games, be representative in all of them.

I visit the Oklahoma, Texas, USC, and Texas Tech sites. I have never seen these type of polls on their sites. I wonder why.

I'm having a hard time believing that a lot of people are already overlooking this year all because Keller came here!!!  Zac is our QB right now and all I'm worried about is this year. So I voted for this year because I have a lot of confidence in our team this year. I don't know much about Keller so I'm not going to put my faith behind him just yet. I'm sure he's a good player and when he takes the rains I'll be there rooting him along, but until then let's go Zac and "bring that trophy back to Lincoln!!!"
