Big 12 Athletes in the NFL

I think Texas does a poor job of coaching the talent they have and the athletes are often pampered and not prepared for the NFL when they leave Texas.

OU to me is the really big surprise...

for anyone who remembers the absolute BS article from Sports Illustrated prior to last year's draft...

Nebraska leads the Big 12 with a total of 37 players in the NFL. Texas A&M and Kansas State are next with 25 each.

wha?! but according to the brilliant folks at SI, Nebraska and KSU were among the top 5 worst at producing NFL talent. And their #1 worst is actually #1 in the Big XII?

--actually the idiot that wrote the article only looked at 1st round draft picks, even though the article intro indicated that it was NFL production in general.

but i guess actual research is too much to ask for some of the folks at SI.

Not to mention (i've ranted about this before and i will again) the Big XII short-changed us on the NFL list last year (and the year before) and had A&M as #1 in the Conf.

Though to be honest, the 25 for A&M does seem a tad low...
